shabby sheek

hello to you all,this is my card for the wiff of joy challange. its theem is shaby sheek. i have no idea what that is.so have looked at the dt cards. it would be nice if someone could define what it is. i have used felt with sniped egdges, ribbon with sniped edges, card,i have used distress in,wild honey,ruffed the edges with a tim holts ruffer,which i sent to america for some twine with charms,leaves and fruit balls, dies,black faceted gems. image is coloured with noir pens,glaze pen on belt jewelry,shoes. the butterflies that are my chose are don with glaze pen, and watercolour glitter pen. i think thats it. hope its allright,love bluebell-flowerwood.

    Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog. If you Google Shabby Chic, you'll get many descriptions of what it means, but they're all a bit nebulous! I would describe the look as distressed (what you call "ruffed"), lace, pearls, chiffon ribbon, often slightly faded-looking, subtle sparkle. So your pretty creation is just right.
